You don’t need to be a cook to please yourself with the masterpiece of Mexican cuisine – real-deal guacamole! Select the properly ripe avocados (the ones that not too hard and not too soft on pressing), add a pinch of salt, cilantro, onion, don’t forget some chile, a drop of lemon juice and a secret ingredient — and here it is! Traditional or unusual variant? Choose the one to your taste!

Original guacamole recipe
Ingredients
  1. Avocados 2
  2. Kosher salt 1/2 tsp
  3. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  4. Onion (finely chopped) 4 tbsp
  5. Serrano chile (finely chopped and deseeded) 1
  6. Cilantro (finely chopped) 3 tbsp
  7. Black pepper (powder)

Instructions
  1. Halve and pit the avocados. Scoop out the avocado flesh into a small bowl, and mash it with a fork if you want guacamole to be chunky, or with a blender, if you prefer it creamy.
  2. Add the lemon juice and mix gently.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the onion, chile and chopped cilantro, and mix well.
  5. Taste the mixture. You may want to add some salt or lemon juice to it.
  6. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and put it into refrigerator for an hour or more. Serve with tortilla chips.

Guacamole With Nuts and Goat Cheese
Ingredients
  1. Hass avocados (halved and pitted) 2
  2. Onions (finely chopped) 2 tbsp
  3. Jalapeno (minced) 1 tbsp
  4. Salt ½ - 1 tsp
  5. Cilantro (chopped) ¼ cup
  6. Lime juice 2 tbsp
  7. Almonds or other nuts (chopped) ¼ cup
  8. Goat cheese (crumbled) 3 tbsp

Instructions
  1. Mince and mash the onion, chile and half of the cilantro. Sprinkle with salt, mix well and put the mixture into a small bowl.
  2. Add the lime juice and mix again.
  3. Scoop out the avocado flesh, mash it with a fork and mix it with the other ingredients in the bowl.
  4. Add the chopped nuts, crumbled goat cheese and the other half of the cilantro. Mix guacamole with a fork and serve it right away.
