If you are a KFC addict, you will duly appreciate these two recipes. You don’t need to be Colonel Sanders to cook the legendary Kentucky Fried Chicken right in your kitchen! Try these two healthier variations and choose your favorite one.

KFC Copycat Oven Fried Chicken
Less grease, more flavor – isn’t that the chicken you dream of? Then bake it instead of frying it!
Ingredients
  1. Chicken breasts 4
  2. Butter 5 tbsp
  3. Flour ¾ cup
  4. Panko breadcrumbs ½ cup
  5. Seasoned salt 1 tsp
  6. Paprika 2 tsp
  7. Pepper ½ tsp

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 F.
  2. Mix the flour, breadcrumbs and spice in a large ziploc bag.
  3. Cut chicken breasts into 4 strips each.
  4. Put the chicken into the ziplock bag and shake well. Make sure the chicken is covered with the dry ingredients mixture all over.
  5. Melt the butter on a baking tray in the oven for, then take the baking tray off and put the chicken strips onto it so that the strips don’t touch one another. Bake the chicken for 12 minutes, then turn the strips and put the tray back into the oven for 12-15 more minutes.
  6. Cover a large serving plate with a paper towel and transfer the chicken strips onto it. Serve hot with barbecue sauce, mayo or mustard.

Savoury Kentucky Chicken
This recipe is for those who like crispy food with rich spicy flavor. Cook it tonight, get your favourite dips and enjoy your dinner!
Ingredients
  1. Chicken breasts 2-3
  2. Flour 1 tsp
  3. Olive oil 2 tbsp
  4. Cornmeal 3 tbsp
  5. Paprika ½ tsp
  6. Coriander (ground) ½ tsp
  7. Cumin (ground) ½ tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Black pepper (ground) to taste

Instructions
  1. Put all the dry ingredients into a large ziplock bag and shake to mix.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into 3-4 pieces each and put them into the bag with the spice mixture. Seal the bag and shake well. Chicken should be evenly coated with the spice.
  3. Leave the ziplock bag with the chicken on the counter for a hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  5. Put the chicken pieces onto a baking sheet and pour them with olive oil. Set the baking tray into the oven for half an hour.
  6. Take the chicken off the oven and put it on a plate, covered with paper towel. Serve immediately.
